The 5 th workshop of the Coordination Platform for Sustainable Management of RA’s Natural Fodder Areas took place

On September 17, 2019, the 5th workshop of the Coordination Platform for Sustainable Management of RA’s Natural Fodder Areas took place in the “Mantashov” meeting hall of “Elite Plaza” business center. The workshop was dedicated to the feasibility study results of the information system development of natural feeding areas (pastures and grasslands) within the framework of “Management of natural resources and safeguarding of ecosystem services for sustainable rural development in the South Caucasus” (ECOserve), a program implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Representatives of the RA Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of High-tech Industry, as well as RA Cadaster and Statistical Committees, state, international, public and scientific institutions attended the workshop.

During the fifth workshop the feasibility study of the information system development of natural feeding areas (pastures and grasslands) and its possible structure was presented and discussed. Besides, the participants were introduced the demo version of the information system and had an opportunity to give a feedback.
